AB de Villiers has been banned from South Africa's next two one-day internationals for allowing a slow over-rate during their game against New Zealand earlier today.
The Proteas were six overs short when time allowances were considered in their one-wicket loss to the tourists.
As well as a ban for the one-day captain, the rest of the South Africa team were docked their match fees.
De Villiers could face a ban for eight one-dayers or four Tests if he repeats the offence within 12 months.
Hashim Amla is likely to lead the side for the remainder of the three-match series.
