Former South Africa captain Clive Rice has died at the age of 66.
He had been suffering from a brain tumour and visited India in March to have radiation treatment in Bangalore.
Rice played for and captained Nottinghamshire in the 1970s and 1980s, helping them to secure the County Championship title in 1981 and 1987.
The former all-rounder was South Africa's first captain on their return to international cricket in 1991.
Rice played 482 first-class matches primarily for Transvaal, Natal and Nottinghamshire between 1969 and 1994, scoring 26,331 runs at an average of 40.95 and taking 930 wickets at a rate of 22.49.
