South Africa are in control of the third Test against Pakistan after forcing their opponents to follow on.

South Africa have finished day two in control of the third Test having forced Pakistan to follow on after bowling the tourists out for 156.

Pakistan bowled the hosts out for 409 in the morning session, before a solid bowling display from Vernon Philander and Kyle Abbott, on his Test debut, left Pakistan on the ropes at tea.

Younis Khan offered some resistance for the tourists in the evening session, but he could not build a partnership as Abbott ripped through the Pakistan batting order, finishing with 7-29 on his Test debut.

With Pakistan trailing by 253 after the first innings, the Proteas enforced the follow-on.

Dale Steyn took the wicket of Mohammad Hafeez with the first ball of the second innings, before some nervy batting prevented Pakistan from building their score, reaching 14-1 at stumps, still trailing the hosts by 239 runs.
