Zimbabwe have been set a target of 232 to win the tri-series clash on home turf following an impressive innings from South Africa.
Openers Hashim Amla and Quinton de Kock started strongly by soaring to 142 runs unscathed until Prosper Utseya found the first wicket of the day by taking out Amla on 66.
Amla was not the only one to grab a half-century - his teammate De Kock fired up the runs, but was eventually sent packing by Utseya having taken 76 runs from as many deliveries.
The pair's strong innings did not appear to inspire the rest of the order, though, as wickets began to tumble, with Utseya taking five overall.
The Proteas left the field all out on 231 with three balls remaining.
