Sri Lanka have provisionally selected injury doubt Lasith Malinga in their squad for the 2015 World Cup.
The feared paceman missed the 5-2 one-day international series victory at home to England at the end of last year as he recovered from ankle surgery.
However, the Lions have gambled on his fitness and included Malinga alongside Nuwan Kulasekara and off-spinner Sachithra Senanayake, who was cleared to resume bowling in December after remodelling his action, in their bowling attack.
However, there is no place in the 15-man touring party for mystery slow bowler Ajantha Mendis.
Veteran batsman Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara will be playing their last major tournament for Sri Lanka, who will be captained by Angelo Mathews for the tournament in Australia and New Zealand, which begins next month.
