Pakistan face a battle to win the third Test match against Sri Lanka after ending day two a huge 409 runs behind their opponents.
After starting the day on 220-5, Sri Lanka added just 19 runs before Prasanna Jayawardene was out for 35, but a seventh-wicket stand of 112 took the visitors to 351-7.
That dismissal saw Angelo Mathews depart for 91, but a fine innings of 95 from number-eight batsman Dilruwan Perera saw Sri Lanka reach 428-9 before they opted to declare with six overs remaining in the day.
It was imperative that Pakistan didn't lose any wickets ahead of a crucial third day, and they succeeded in reaching the end of play on 19-0.
