Lancashire have announced the signing of former Surrey fast bowler George Edwards on a two-year contract.
Edwards, whose deal with Surrey expired at the end of the season, was included in an England bowling camp in 2013 shortly after making his breakthrough in first-class cricket, but his chances were limited at The Oval.
"George is a young, fast bowler with great potential and will be a great addition to our seam bowling unit," Lancashire's director of cricket Ashley Giles revealed in a statement.
"After losing the services of Kyle Hogg, and with Glen Chapple perhaps playing a limited role, this is an area that we need to strengthen."
Edwards is the second bowler to move to Old Trafford in the off-season, following the arrival of former Leicestershire seamer Nathan Buck.
