West Indies have thrashed India by 124 runs in Kochi to take a 1-0 lead in the one-day international series between the teams.
The tourists posted a competitive score of 321-6 before they bowled the hosts out for 197 with nine overs remaining.
Marlon Samuels starred with the bat for the Windies thanks to an unbeaten knock of 126, while Denesh Ramdin (61), Dwayne Smith (46) and Darren Bravo (28) also made significant contributions at the crease.
Mohammed Shami ended with bowling figures of 4-66 for India, who had Ravindra Jadeja and Amit Mishra take the remaining two wickets.
Shikhar Dhawan (68) and Ajinkya Rahane (24) saw India get off to a good start when it was their turn to bat, but Jadeja (33 not out) and Ambati Rayudu (19) were the only other players who made any inroads as a middle-order collapse saw the home side fall short.
Virat Kohli (two), Suresh Raina (zero) and MS Dhoni (eight) in particular failed to do any damage with the bat.
Ravi Rampaul, Bravo and Samuels all took two wickets each for West Indies, while Jerome Taylor, Andre Russell and Darren Sammy also got in on the act.
The two sides meet again on Saturday when they face each other in Delhi.
