Former England international Tim Bresnan has been dropped for the Yorkshire Vikings' T20 Blast encounter against the Leicestershire Foxes tomorrow night.
The 30-year-old has struggled for positive form in the shortest format of the game so far this year, and last time out against the Birmingham Bears he was hit for 32 runs off just three overs.
As a result, head coach Jason Gillespie has taken the decision to omit the bowler.
"Tim has not performed as well as we know he can with the ball in the T20 competition and we see this as a good opportunity to give someone else a go," Gillespie told the club's official website.
"With a heavy month of cricket coming up, we also see benefit in Tim having an extra day of downtime before our LV= County Championship match at Durham starting on Sunday."
Twenty-one-year-old Ben Coad has been selected as Bresnan's replacement.
