Team Australia cyclist Alex Edmondson has admitted that he has been "overwhelmed" by his success at this summer's Commonwealth Games.
Edmondson today added an individual pursuit silver medal to the gold he won in the team event, helping to maintain the dominance that Australia have enjoyed at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome so far.
The 20-year-old's experience is even more special considering one of his teammates is elder sister Annette Edmondson, who herself won a silver in the women's individual pursuit earlier today.
"It's been amazing the last two days. To do the team pursuit last night and to come here and back it up with a silver medal - I'm pretty overwhelmed to be honest," Alex told Sports Mole.
"To share it with my sister and for her to get a silver medal is unbelievable as well. I just makes it so much more sweet when we've got mum and dad up in the stands, and two of my friends from back home. It's been a very special last two days."
Australia currently top the cycling medal table at the Commonwealth Games.
