Denmark's Simone Christensen has said that the track for the BMX events at the European Games in Azerbaijan feels "a bit soft".
The women's competition gets underway at the velopark in Baku tomorrow, having been brought forward from Saturday over concerns from competitors about forecast high winds.
The 21-year-old told reporters: "I was not on the track yesterday, so I did not really know how it was, but it is better. It still feels a little bit soft, it doesn't feel as fast as we normally have, but everyone has to deal with that, so that's all right.
"In BMX anything can happen, but I hope for the final and obviously I'll try to get on the podium and maybe the top spot. I was confident in the last few races and reached a lot of podiums in the European Cup, I feel pretty good."
Christensen was part of the Danish team that finished fourth in last year's World Championships.
