Team England cyclist Andy Tennant eyes further success at the Commonwealth Games, having picked up a silver medal in the team pursuit yesterday.

Team England cyclist Andy Tennant has set his sights on winning at least one more medal at this summer's Commonwealth Games.

Tennant was part of the 4,000m team pursuit quartet that picked up a silver at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome last night, although he narrowly missed out on a medal race in the individual event today.

The 27-year-old still has the 40km points race and the 20km scratch race to go in Glasgow, and he is hopeful of adding to his solitary piece of silverware.

"I've got a couple more races left and then the road race next week. If I can medal in either of the two races following that then it'd be a fantastic achievement for myself. These are the two I've prioritised," Tennant told Sports Mole.

"I really would have liked to medal today, which is why I'm a bit frustrated. I think there was potential of one in there today. So if I can salvage anything in the next two races then that'd be great, but we'll see. There is a bit more luck involved in the next two, especially for myself."

Meanwhile, Tennant also admitted that a gold medal was not an achievable target for the pursuit team due to the form of the Australians.
