Arnaud Demare has secured victory on The Mall in the RideLondon-Surrey Classic.
The French rider edged out second-placed Sacha Modolo and Yannick Martinez in third to record the win for his team FDJ.
"I am really happy with the race. My teammates did a really good job to get me into the perfect position," Demare told reporters after the race.
Team Sky's Ben Swift was the highest-placed Briton in 10th position, while pre-race favourite Peter Sagan failed to challenge for the podium.
The RideLondon Classic, the biggest cycling event in the UK since London 2012, saw 150 riders tackle a course that runs between the Olympic Park and The Mall.
