Laura Trott has added European Track Championship gold to her Olympic gold in the omnium event in Apeldoorn, Netherlands.
The 21-year-old, who also scooped gold in the team pursuit - along with Dani King and Joanna Rowsall - in London last year, edged out home favourite Kirsten Wild to clinch a second title after winning in 2011.
Trott and Wild both finished the omnium - comprised of six events - on 15 points, but the Briton was declared the winner by virtue of having a lower overall time on the flying lap, individual pursuit and the 500m time trial.
It is her second victory of the European Track Championships, with her first coming in the team pursuit, where she won with Olympic teammates King, and Rowsell, as well as Elinor Barker and Katie Archibald.
