Movistar rider Giovanni Visconti has claimed his second stage victory at the Giro d'Italia with a superb solo effort in Vicenza.
The 30-year-old made a break 16 kilomotres from the line, finishing 19 seconds ahead of second-placed Ramunas Navardauskas of Team Garmin-Sharp.
Vincenzo Nibali (Astana) remains one minute and 26 seconds ahead of Cadel Evans (BMC) in the battle for the pink jersey, as both men finished among the peloton.
Team Sky's Rigoberto Uran, who is third in the overall classification, also finished in the bunch.
Meanwhile, Mark Cavendish (Omega Pharma-Quick Step) has retained his grip on the points leader's red jersey, but lost ground to Evans.
