Track cycling gold medalist Sir Chris Hoy has been snubbed by selectors of Team Great Britain in favour of Jason Kenny to ride the individual sprint at the London Olympics.
The controversial decision was announced today, which means that the 36-year-old will be unable to defend all three of his Olympic titles that he won in the 2008 Games in Beijing.
Kenny has been chosen to represent Great Britain in the individual sprint, while Hoy has been chosen to ride the keirin.
Both competitors will take part in the team sprint at the Games, which are due to begin next week.
