Jody Cundy has thanked his supporters who tweeted him consolatory messages after his disqualification earlier today at the velodrome.
Cundy has admitted that the decision was hard to take and hopes he can perform tomorrow.
"Today has probably been the toughest of my sporting career, but tomorrow is another day. I'll let the legs do the talking, they swear less," Cundy tweeted.
"I just wanted to show the world what 4 years of focus can produce, I'm gutted I couldn't find out for myself, as I'm in the form of my life.
"Many thanks to everyone and your kind words, it means a lot, and I didn't realise how much love there is out there. Thank you."
Cundy will race in the pursuit tomorrow.
