Great Britain's Katy Marchant has won the bronze medal in the women's sprint at the Rio Olympics.
The 23-year-old was beaten in straight rides by Germany's Kristina Vogel in the semi-finals, but responded to come away from her first Olympics with an unexpected bronze.
Marchant only needed two races to overcome Elis Ligtlee of the Netherlands, completing the victory in thrilling fashion with a late lunge in the second race.
Marchant pipped Ligtlee to the line by millimetres, crossing just 0.007s in front of her opponent to avoid the need for a decider.
The silver continues Team GB's remarkable success in the velodrome, with every member of the track cycling team now having won a medal at the Rio Games.
