Phil Taylor: "Champions always find a way to win"

Phil Taylor vows to turn his Betway Premier League season around with victory against Peter Wright in Belfast tonight.

Phil Taylor has vowed to bounce back with victory against Peter Wright, following two successive defeats in the Betway Premier League.

'The Power', who was whitewashed on the opening night against Michael van Gerwen before losing 7-3 to Adrian Lewis last week, faces Wright in Belfast tonight.

The defeats have left Taylor at the bottom of the table, which is a position the 14-time world champion is not used to being in.

"I prefer the penthouse to the cellar," the 53-year-old is quoted as saying by The Mirror. "I'm not used to propping up the table and I don't like it. The sooner I can get off the mark, the better.

"I could not have asked for a much tougher start than playing Michael and Adrian, but I'm too long in the tooth to go around making excuses - and it's not going to get any easier against Peter. This is unfamiliar territory for me, but champions always find a way to win when they've had a couple of setbacks."

Elsewhere, Van Gerwen will face Dave Chisnall.
