Bookies' favourite Scott Waites stormed into round two of the BDO World Championship with a straight-sets victory over Willy van de Weil on Monday night.
Waites was in ominous form and recorded only the second 3-0 whitewash of the opening round against the young Dutchman.
Belgian seed Geert de Vos is next up for Waites after he overcame Tony Eccles in the evening session's first match.
De Vos started slowly but came on strong with his doubles to earn a narrow 3-2 victory.
Paul Jennings also qualified for the last 16 with a 3-1 win over sixth seed Ross Montgomery.
