Tonia Couch and Sarah Barrow insist that they are pleased with their Commonwealth Games 10m synchro silver despite claiming that the judges weren't on their side.

Tonia Couch and Sarah Barrow have insisted that they are still pleased with a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games, despite questioning the judges' scores in the synchronised 10m platform final this afternoon in Edinburgh.

The English duo had a lead of over three points going into the final round, but were overtaken by Canada's Meaghan Benfeito and Roseline Filion in the final moments.

Although the 25-year-old pair claimed that the judges weren't on their side and favoured the Canadians, the duo were pleased to win silver.

"We haven't been training the best this week going into the competition, but we've pulled it out of the bag," said Couch. "We're really pleased to have walked away with silver medal, it's really exciting."

Scoreboard problems during the first session of diving at the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh meant that it took a few minutes for the result to be officially confirmed.

Couch said: "I like to see if we're leading and stuff, I didn't have a clue today because there was no scoreboard. I just kept focused and did what I had to do."

The duo will also compete in the 10m platform individual event tomorrow and feel that they can medal for a second time.

"We've got just a good a chance tomorrow as well," said Barrow. "We both do individual just as well so looking forward to that tomorrow."

The pair also competed together at the last Commonwealth Games in Delhi, finishing fourth in the synchro 10m platform four years ago.
