Team England diver Tom Daley intends to use the Commonwealth Games as a platform to showcase his talent to his competitors on the world stage.
The 20-year-old recently just missed out on a medal at the FINA World Cup in Shanghai and now wants to bounce back by winning Commonwealth gold for the second time in his career.
"I'd love to be able to stamp my authority on diving and show the world that actually my diving is getting a lot better," Daley told reporters.
"I'm a lot more consistent and all the work that I've been putting in since the London 2012 Games has been worthwhile."
Daley will be defending his 10m platform title a week on Saturday at the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh, but is not yet sure if he will compete in the 10m synchronised platform, in which he also won gold four years ago.
