England diver Jack Laugher has claimed that he is confident of winning another gold at the Commonwealth Games ahead of this evening's 3m springboard event.
The 19-year-old, who won last night's 1m springboard, is on course to become a double Commonwealth champion after comfortably winning his heat with a six-dive total of 465.80.
Speaking to reporters, Laugher has now fired a warning shot to his competitors by claiming that it is his strongest event.
"It's my main event and I've been training really hard this year," he said.
"Obviously, winning the prelim I do feel confident in myself, but as I said yesterday, every competition is different.
"You can go from one day being absolutely on fire to the next day being absolutely rubbish. That just happens in sport and everyone knows that."
The youngster's compatriots James Denny and Oliver Dingley will also be present for tonight's final, having qualified in sixth and eighth placed respectively.
