Manchester United are reportedly prepared to face competition for the services for Paris Saint-Germain attacker Randal Kolo Muani.
The 26-year-old has struggled to make an impact for the French champions during the 2024-25 term to date, scoring just twice across 10 Ligue 1 appearances.
Man United are entering a transitional period under Ruben Amorim and could be looking to offload long-serving academy star Marcus Rashford in the New Year.
Such a major move would open up a spot in the Red Devils' first-team squad, one which Kolo Muani could fill to help United fulfill their goals.
Since making the switch from Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023, Kolo Muani has featured on 54 occasions for PSG, scoring 11 times.
Man United face German competition for Kolo Muani?
According to Sky Sport Deutschland, Manchester United are set to face a serious name in the race for the services of PSG man Kolo Muani in January.
United will allegedly be joined in the hunt for the 26-year-old by RB Leipzig, who have struggled on the continental stage this season.
The German club are yet to collect a win in the Champions League after six matches, meaning that they will be absent from the knockout stages in 2025.
Despite this, Leipzig are keen to bring a top-tier talent back to Germany in the form of Kolo Muani, who is being frozen out at the Parc des Princes.
It is understood that Les Parisiens are willing to offload the Frenchman on a loan at a minimum until the conclusion of the 2024-25 campaign.
Back to the Bundesliga?
Kolo Muani spent one highly-successful season in Germany, one which allowed him to earn a high-profile switch to the best club in France.
The 26-year-old bagged an eye-watering 23 goals and 14 assists across 46 competitive appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt during the 2022-23 term.
Kolo Muani is also a regular participator on the international stage for France, earning 27 caps since his international debut in September 2022.
