Millie Haffety tells Sports Mole of her disappointment after registering a zero dive during the women's 3m synchro at the European Games.

Millie Haffety has admitted that her botched dive at the European Games tonight has left her "gutted".

The 16-year-old and Team GB synchro partner Millie Fowler had been on course for a medal until the fourth round, when Haffety fell forward off the board during their performance of a reverse 2-1/2 somersault. The dive received a score of zero and despite a strong final round, the pair could only finish ninth in the overall rankings.

"I'm disappointed, a bit gutted," a tearful Haffety told Sports Mole afterwards. "But these things happen. It will make me stronger."

Asked what had happened, she replied: "I can't really remember now, it's a bit of a blur. I think I was just over the end of the board, didn't have much control and I just fell off. That's not happened to me before."

Fellow GB divers Jordan Houlden and James Heatly could still earn medals in Baku tonight in the final of the men's 3m springboard event.
