The Mitchells gather to pay their respects at Aunt Sal's funeral, with Alfie stepping in for Kat. When Sam pressures Billy and Ben into attending, Phil's suspicious that she may have an ulterior motive.

At the funeral, Sal's husband Harold gives a moving eulogy which even brings Phil to tears. Later, at the wake, Sam's shocked when Harold tells her that Sal left her, Phil and Grant £100k to split - and she wastes no time in demanding her share, but Phil refuses.

After learning from Alfie that Phil slept with Emma, Sam returns to Peggy's to blackmail her brother.

Suki learns from Priya that the builders might re-lay the café foundations so that Nish can turn it into flats. Suki's surprised when she visits Nish and he agrees to reconsider, but then Denise arrives...

While Elaine prepares The Vic for Phil and Kat's joint karaoke-themed birthday party, Sam continues to try blackmailing Phil to no avail.

Kat's concerned when she spots Phil talking with Ben across the Square, but when she confronts Ben, he covers for his dad.

Phil eventually caves to Sam's demands for the money... but after getting what she wants, Sam takes to the mic in The Vic and reveals that Phil slept with Emma.
