Piers Morgan: 'Lord Sugar and I are done as friends'

Piers Morgan says that he is "done as friends" with Lord Sugar following their fallout over the coronavirus crisis.

Piers Morgan has admitted that his friendship with Lord Sugar is "done" following their spectacular fallout over the coronavirus crisis.

The pair have been used to trading banter with each other on Twitter and Good Morning Britain over the last few years but have been good friends away from the cameras, even spending time on holiday with each other.

Their punchy exchanges have taken a serious turn due to COVID-19, however, with Sugar accusing Morgan of hysteria and Morgan branding Sugar "an utter disgrace" for his more relaxed attitude towards social distancing.

Speaking to The Sunday Times, Morgan admitted: "It's gone way beyond a joke, and for me it's ruined our friendship.

"I think we're done as friends. I can't see through the behaviour."

Morgan has also fallen out with Donald Trump over his handling of the coronavirus crisis, accusing him of making "batshit" comments and advising the President to "shut the f**k up".
