Aberdeen and Groningen played out a goalless draw in their Europa League opener this evening.
The Dutch side were able to frustrate the Scots throughout, keeping them from finding the breakthrough despite their best efforts.
David Goodwillie made his Aberdeen debut, coming on as a 75th-minute substitute, but failed to seriously test the Groningen keeper.
The return fixture will take place next Thursday at the Euroborg ground.
