Aberdeen have confirmed that defender Ash Taylor requires knee surgery and will be out of action for "some weeks".
The centre-back suffered the problem during his side's 3-3 draw with Dundee on Saturday.
Taylor has scored two goals in 25 games for Aberdeen so far this season.
"While the 24-year-old, who last week signed a contract extension with the Dons, is expected to be out for some weeks, an exact timescale will not be determined until the surgery has been completed," read a statement on the club's official website.
Aberdeen currently sit at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, two points clear of champions Celtic.
