Derek McInnes has claimed that it is important to Aberdeen to finish the season strongly after beating Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1-0 at Pittodrie Stadium.
Ash Taylor scored the only goal of the game to move them 11 points clear of their opponents, who remain third in the Scottish Premiership, and McInnes admits that he taken some positives from the reaction to last month's emphatic loss to leaders Celtic.
"There has been a feeling of disappointment since the Celtic game and performances since then haven't been good enough," the Aberdeen boss told reporters.
"It says a lot that second is seen as a disappointment to them, but there's a lot to be pleased about.
"We want to finish second but there's still a lot to do and I don't think we were convincing towards the end of last season. There's always demand on an Aberdeen player to keep winning, and that's what we'll try to do."
Aberdeen return to action with a trip to Kilmarnock on Saturday.
