Liverpool and Arsenal target Ignazio Abate has reportedly ended speculation about his future by signing a new deal with AC Milan.
The Italian defender was believed to be the subject of a bid last summer from Liverpool, who were looking to bolster their options in defence.
However, The Express cites reports in Italy suggesting that the Rossoneri have agreed a new contract with the 28-year-old.
Abate, who has enjoyed more first-team opportunities at Milan under Pippo Inzaghi after being frozen out by his predecessor Clarence Seedorf, was set to become a free agent in the summer, if the Serie A giants hadn't secured a deal.
