AC Milan are reportedly lining up a bid of £14m for Celtic centre-back Kristoffer Ajer.
The 22-year-old has established himself as a key figure in the heart of Neil Lennon's defence over the past few seasons, and has naturally been linked with moves elsewhere.
AC Milan have been credited with an interest in Ajer for a while now, and the Italian giants are reportedly stepping up their pursuit of the Norway international as the new Serie A season gets underway.
According to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, AC Milan will table a bid of £14m for the Celtic defender next week, although the Rossoneri may still opt for a loan deal with an obligation to buy for financial reasons.
Ajer, who is under contract at Celtic until 2022, already has one goal and one assist to show from seven Scottish Premiership appearances this season.
The defender played the full 90 minutes as Lennon's side recorded a 3-2 victory over Livingston on Saturday - their fifth league win on the bounce.
