Schalke 04 have reportedly granted Kevin-Prince Boateng permission to train with his former club AC Milan.
Back in May the Bundesliga outfit confirmed that they had suspended the 28-year-old indefinitely, allegedly due to poor conduct.
He was linked with a host of clubs throughout the summer, but the Ghanaian was unable to secure himself a move before the transfer window closed.
However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Boateng has been handed an olive branch by Milan, where he will spend the next few days training.
The report adds that if the spell goes well, Boateng could return to San Siro on a permanent basis in January.
The midfielder made 100 appearances for the Rossoneri between 2010 and 2013.
