Catania reject Francesco Lodi talk

Francesco Lodi will not be allowed to leave Catania this month, according to the club's president Antonino Pulvirenti.

Catania president Antonino Pulvirenti has revealed that Francesco Lodi will not be allowed to leave the Italian club this month.

The 28-year-old's performances this season have led to suggestions that AC Milan and Inter Milan were preparing a bid for the midfielder, but Pulvirenti has quelled talk of a move.

He told Sky Italia: "He remains. The club have allowed him to become who he is now and from our side we respect the word 'done'. I don't want to talk with others. We respect what we say."

Lodi has scored four goals for the club this season.
