AC Milan forward Stephan El Shaarawy has played down talks linking him with a move to Manchester City by declaring that he wants to stay at the San Siro.
The Italy international, who has attracted interest from Arsenal in the past, was the subject of a £30m bid from City, according to reports in Italy.
However, the 20-year-old has insisted that he does not see himself playing anywhere else but Milan.
"I don't think I will leave Milan," El Shaarawy told La Repubblica. "If City really wants me, it flatters me. But I want to stay here at AC Milan.
"I always felt total confidence from all: the club, coach [Massimiliano] Allegri and teammates. It's also thanks to them that I am in the Italian national team."
El Shaarawy has seven caps for Italy.
