Adil Rami has admitted that he is hoping to secure a permanent move to AC Milan this summer.
The French defender, who joined the club on loan from Valencia in January, claims that the two clubs are already negotiating a possible deal which would see him remain in Italy.
"My priority is to stay in Milan," Rami told RMC. "I hope to stay to help this club to maintain its high status.
"I don't know if Milan can afford to buy me - negotiations are ongoing at the moment - I can only express my preference."
Rami has started 14 times for Milan in Serie A this season.
