Santos president Luis Alvaro Ribeiro has hinted that AC Milan striker Robinho could join the Brazilian club on loan.
Robinho, 28, is reportedly keen to rejoin the club for what would be his third stint, despite the fact that his Milan contract runs until 2014.
"We chatted for a long time on the phone as friends, both about family and personal matters," Luis Alvaro told Lancenet.
"However, I admit to inquiring about the two-year contract he has remaining in Italy, and the possibility of a loan move back with us.
"Nevertheless, it still will be a very difficult deal to strike with Milan. Our objective is not to sow discord with the club we have an excellent relationship with."
Robinho is currently holidaying in Brazil.
