AC Milan are allegedly prepared to allow Charles De Ketelaere to depart San Siro on loan during the summer transfer window.

Last year, the Italian giants, then Serie A champions, opted to pay €35m for the Belgian prospect, but the versatile attacker endured an unproductive first year at the club.

The 22-year-old contributed just one assist in 40 appearances in all competitions, leaving Milan with a decision to make with regards to his short-term future.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, club officials and boss Stefano Pioli are open to De Ketelaere going out on loan for the 2023-24 campaign.

Aston Villa have been credited with an interest, albeit on a permanent deal and for less than Milan paid Club Brugge less than 12 months ago, while PSV Eindhoven are allegedly ready to explore the possibility of a season-long agreement.

Staying with Villa, and it is alleged that winger Bertrand Traore could again be departing the West Midlands outfit before the end of August.

Traore spent the first half of last season on loan at Istanbul Basaksehir, contributing three goals and one assist from his 18 appearances in all competitions.

The Burkina Faso international returned to his parent club for the second half of the campaign, chipping in with two strikes from 226 minutes of Premier League football, yet it appears that he has little future under Unai Emery going forward.

Turkish outlet Aksam, newly-promoted Samsunspor are interested in adding the 27-year-old to their ranks as they bid to put together a squad capable of remaining in the top flight.

Although negotiations are said to be ongoing, the report hints that a transfer is not a foregone conclusion, Villa having no interest in a loan deal on the basis that Traore has just 12 months left on his contract.

Meanwhile, newly-promoted Burnley are reportedly prepared to make a statement in the transfer market by spending up to £15m on Coventry City midfielder Gustavo Hamer.

As well as two loan deals being converted into permanent transfers, Vincent Kompany has also added goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux and defender Dara O'Shea to his squad.

However, more signings are expected in due course, particularly in midfield and wide areas, and it appears that Kompany is prepared to pay major money to acquire the services of a player who starred in the Championship last season.

According to the Daily Mail, Burnley are in discussions with Coventry to complete the acquisition of Hamer.

The 26-year-old played an instrumental part in the Sky Blues reaching last season's playoff final, contributing 11 goals and 10 assists, and the Dutchman is now expected to move to a bigger club with just one year remaining on his contract. body check tags ::
