West Ham United are in talks with AC Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini over a possible summer move to Upton Park, according to his agent.
The Serie A giants confirmed on Tuesday that they would not be offering the Italian a fresh contract extension, that brings an end to his 18-year tenure at the San Siro.
While the 36-year-old's representative had played down rumours of a move to Major League Soccer, Moreno Roggi admits that discussions are ongoing with the Hammers.
"Obviously Massimo wants to continue," Roggi told Calciomercato.it. "There are some negotiations in place and we are evaluating every type of proposal.
"His preference would be overseas clubs, but if an offer did come in from an Italian side, we would not ignore it completely. At this moment we are in talks with West Ham, while we have already ruled out Major League Soccer."
Ambrosini joined the Rossoneri from Cesena in 1995.
