Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's action from League Two, including wins for Chesterfield, Scunthorpe United, Oxford United, Rochdale and Fleetwood Town.

Chesterfield re-established their three-point lead at the top of the League Two table on Saturday afternoon by securing a dramatic victory over strugglers Torquay United.

Scunthorpe United had moved level with the Spireites on Friday night by winning 3-2 at Accrington Stanley, but the Derbyshire side raced clear once more after coming from behind to see off Torquay 3-1, thanks to a 56th-minute equaliser from Eoin Doyle and a late James O'Shea brace.

Oxford remain just four points away from Chesterfield in third following their 3-0 thrashing of Mansfield Town at the Kassam Stadium.

Fellow promotion chasers Rochdale and Fleetwood Town also picked up maximum points, beating Morecambe and bottom-of-the-table Northampton Town respectively.

Scott Hogan and Ian Henderson helped Dale to a 2-1 success after Jack Redshaw had fired Morecambe ahead at Spotland, while Gareth Evans scored twice for Fleetwood, who eased to a 2-0 home win.

Burton Albion dropped to sixth place following their 1-1 draw with Dagenham & Redbridge, who had Jack Connors sent off for a second bookable offence on 54 minutes at the Pirelli Stadium.

The final playoff place is still in the possession of Southend United, despite their 3-2 home loss to Exeter City, who struck twice in the final eight minutes at Roots Hall.

Hartlepool United, who play Southend next week, are now just six points further back after keeping their fourth clean sheet in five games and winning 3-0 at home to Newport County.

Elsewhere, John McCombe netted twice as York City were hammered 4-0 by 10-man Plymouth Argyle at Home Park, while a 52nd-minute goal from Ryan Taylor was enough to see Portsmouth win 1-0 against AFC Wimbledon at Fratton Park.

The games involving Bury, Bristol Rovers, Cheltenham Town and Wycombe Wanderers were postponed due to waterlogged pitches.
