Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's action from League Two, including another defeat for Northampton Town.

Chris Wilder's first home game in charge of Northampton Town ended in defeat on Saturday.

A 2-0 loss to Plymouth Argyle, which came courtesy of first-half strikes from Reuben Reid and Lewis Alessandra, leaves the bottom-of-the-table Cobblers seven points from safety in League Two.

Fellow relegation scrappers Wycombe Wanderers and Accrington Stanley also moved a point in the right direction after drawing 0-0 with each other at Adams Park.

Portsmouth added a point to their tally as well, but they will be frustrated that it was not three, having conceded a last-minute equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Exeter City.

Meanwhile, Torquay United remain in the drop zone after their home clash with Bury was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

At the other end of the table, the top two played out a 1-1 draw at Glanford Park, where leaders Chesterfield maintained their three-point advantage over Scunthorpe United after coming from a goal down.

Third-placed Oxford United missed the chance to gain ground on their promotion rivals after an 84th-minute goal from John-Joe O'Toole saw the U's throw away a 1-0 lead at Bristol Rovers.

However, there was some cause for celebration for Oxford, as their 1-1 draw saw them equal a club record of 15 away league games without defeat.

Rochdale and Burton Albion are now just one point behind Oxford after recording away victories over AFC Wimbledon and Morecambe respectively.

Dale climbed from sixth to fourth by thumping the Dons 3-0 thanks to a Scott Hogan hat-trick, while Zeli Ismail's 72nd-minute effort was enough for the Brewers to take maximum points from the Globe Arena.

Elsewhere, Hartlepool United recorded their first away win of 2014 by overcoming Dagenham & Redbridge 2-0 in Essex.

Mansfield Town saw off 10-man Southend United 2-1, while there were no goals in the mid-table clash between York City and Cheltenham Town at Bootham Crescent.
