Cheltenham Town missed the chance to move out of the League Two relegation zone as they threw away a one-goal lead to draw 1-1 at Accrington Stanley this evening.
Gerardo Bruna bent an effort narrowly wide before Josh Windass was denied by Trevor Carson as the hosts created the better chances in the opening exchanges.
However, they fell behind in the 31st minute when Wes Burns leapt highest to loop a header into the back of the net after Accrington had failed to clear a corner.
The hosts drew level after an hour through Shay McCartan, who rifled a low strike into the far corner within five minutes of his introduction from the bench.
Both sides had chances to win the game late on, but they had settle for a point apiece.
