Rangers have beaten Airdrieonians 1-0 in their Scottish League One match at New Broomfield.
Lewis MacLeod gave Rangers the lead in the 18th minute, latching on to a knock down from Jon Daly, before firing in a low strike past Danny Rogers.
They nearly scored a second moments later, when Lee Wallace burst into the box and flicked the ball over the head of Mick O'Byrne, before firing a volley wide of the post.
Airdrieonians had a good chance to level the scores through James Lister, but his header from close range was saved by Cammy Bell.
Bilel Mohsni wasted a gilt-edged opportunity for the visitors, as he headed over from a corner when unmarked in the box.
Nicky Clark came close to scoring for Rangers at the start of the second half, but headed over the bar when well-placed.
The home side came within inches of equalising, when Gregor Buchanan attempted a bicycle kick that went wide, with Bell rooted to the spot.
With two minutes left to play Willie McLaren thought that he had found the net for Airdrieonians when his shot was blocked by Bell, before being cleared off the line by Mohsni.
