Rennes have progressed to the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France with a narrow 1-0 victory over 10-man Auxerre.
The visitors scored the one and only goal midway through the first half when Foued Kadir collected a pass from Jean Makoun and found the net.
Auxerre's job of getting back into the game was made harder 10 minutes after half time when Yann Boe-Kane was sent off for a second yellow card.
The hosts did have chances to equalise but couldn't take them, with Sebastien Haller spurning the best opportunity.
