Ajax came back from a goal down to earn a 1-1 draw at home to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League this evening.
Lucas Moura pounced on some slack defending inside the box and teed up Zlatan Ibrahimovic but his shot was blocked, before Edinson Cavani stabbed into an empty net on 14 minutes.
Ibrahimovic hammered a low free kick at goal on 20 minutes but the effort was comfortably held by Netherlands international Jasper Cillenssen.
Moura spurned a glorious chance almost immediately after the restart when he dispossessed Niklas Moisander before running clean through. However, the Brazilian placed his effort wide of the post.
Ibrahimovic went close for the visitors on 51 minutes after a well-worked move found the Sweden international on the edge of the box, but his low drive flew wide of the post.
The former Ajax forward then fired in an almost identical free kick to his first-half effort and was disappointed with himself not to work Cillenssen more in the home side's goal.
Moura's pace continued to cause Ajax problems and a razor-sharp counter-attack saw the Brazilian dance inside Moisander and force Cillenssen into a good save on 53 minutes.
Lasse Schone got his team back into proceedings with 15 minutes remaining when his whipped free kick was too powerful for Salvatore Sirigu to keep out.
The goal saw Ajax visibly grow in confidence and Nicolai Boilesen went close with a left-footed effort moments after Schone forced Sirigu to palm a free kick onto the post.
Ajax ended the game as the better side, but PSG held on to claim the point.
