Albania captain Lorik Cana has claimed that it was a "miracle" that none of his players were seriously injured in the events that led to their Euro 2016 qualifier against Serbia being abandoned on Tuesday.
The match in Group I was stopped after a drone carrying a "Greater Albania" flag flew into the Belgrade stadium, with fighting and crowd trouble taking place after Stefan Mitrovic pulled the flag off the machine.
Cana told French newspaper L'Equipe: "It's a miracle that we only had six or seven injured with blows to the face, neck and back. If you saw some of the bodies... they really caught it.
"What would have happened if instead of a chair, it had been a knife? Our lives were in danger."
UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against the two nations following the incident.
