Anderlecht boss Hein Vanhaezebrouck has claimed that January arrival Lazar Markovic is "four or five weeks" away from making his debut for the club due to his lack of action this season.
Markovic, 23, joined Anderlecht on loan from Liverpool in the final hours of the winter transfer window.
The winger has not made a single appearance for his parent club this season, and Vanhaezebrouck has conceded that the Serbia international is still a few weeks away from featuring for the Belgian club.
"I think we will be without him for four or five weeks," Vanhaezebrouck told nieuwsblad.
"He has a very big gap and is conditional not yet ready to play. So there is a lot of work to be done, but we hope that he can make rapid progress. He can play in different positions, but he has to get up to speed quickly."
Markovic has not played a competitive match for Liverpool since May 2015, and has recently spent time on loan with Fenerbahce, Sporting Lisbon and Hull City.
