Second-half goals from Yann Jouffre, Majeed Waris and Benjamin Jeannot gave Lorient a 3-1 comeback victory over visitors Angers in Ligue 1 this evening.
The game produced a rather drab opening early on, and it took all of 28 minutes for Lorient to garner the contest's first chance when Benjamin Moukandjo sent a header wide despite the teasing ball supplied by Vincent Le Goff.
The chance appeared to kick Angers into life and they broke ahead at the next opportunity, as Romain Saiss forced his close-range finish into the bottom-left corner after Billy Ketkeophomphone's set-piece delivery.
Moukandjo might have pulled Lorient back level just before the interval, but he saw his header loop over the crossbar to cap off a frustrating first half in front of goal for the hosts.
Lorient broke out of the traps at lightning speed in the second period, and they quickly found a leveller through Jouffre, who finished into the bottom-right corner after being picked out by Waris.
The comeback was finalised just over 15 minutes from the end of the game, as Jouffre turned provider this time to feed in Waris, who made no mistake with his strike to hand the hosts a 2-1 lead.
The game was wrapped up during injury time thanks to Jeannot, who capped off a standout performance from the hosts to seal a memorable fight back.
