AC Milan vs. Brugge (Tuesday, 5.45pm)

After losing their first two matches, AC Milan will try to revive an ailing Champions League campaign on Tuesday, when they welcome Club Brugge to San Siro.

The seven-time European champions are yet to pick up a point in this year's league phase, while their visitors got off the mark with a close-fought victory over Sturm Graz earlier this month.

We say: AC Milan 2-1 Club Brugge

On home soil, hit-and-miss Milan are generally much tougher to beat, despite their obvious frailties.

Mid-range opponents such as Club Brugge are usually dispatched, though there may not be too much between the sides after 90 minutes.

Monaco vs. Red Star (Tuesday, 5.45pm)

Monaco will look to extend their unbeaten start to the season when they welcome Red Star Belgrade to the Stade Louis II in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Adi Hutter's side relinquished top spot in Ligue 1 at the weekend, but claimed another positive result in what has been a superb run of form.

We say: Monaco 4-1 Red Star Belgrade

Red Star's away form in the Champions League says it all, and a 12th straight defeat on the road is expected against a Monaco side that are yet to lose this season.

No team has gone on a longer run in the UCL without a clean sheet than Monaco (22 games), but they should have more than enough in attack to comfortably sweep their Serbian opponents aside here.

Girona vs. Slovan Bratislava (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Both seeking the first point of their Champions League campaign, Girona and Slovan Bratislava will meet at Estadi Montilivi on Tuesday evening.

Slovan sit second-bottom of the giant league-phase table, while the hosts have also lost twice - proving their own worst enemies on both occasions.

We say: Girona 2-1 Slovan Bratislava

Although Girona are beset by injuries and inconsistent form, they should still prevail on home soil against one of the Champions League's more modest opponents.

Slovan are certainly the best team in Slovakia right now, but their defensive deficiencies are magnified when standing on the European stage.

Juventus vs. Stuttgart (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Aiming to extend their perfect start in this season's Champions League, Italian giants Juventus will meet Stuttgart for the first time ever on Tuesday evening.

Having won in Leipzig last time out, Juve now face more German opposition back on home turf; meanwhile, their struggling visitors have picked up just one point so far.

We say: Juventus 2-0 Stuttgart

Not only have new-look Juventus kept several clean sheets this season, but they also have a 14-match unbeaten streak behind them on home soil.

As Stuttgart have won only twice on the road in 2024-25 - and one was against lower-level opponents in the DFB-Pokal - they have little hope of taking anything away from Turin.

PSG vs. PSV (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

The best in France meets the best in the Netherlands in Tuesday's Champions League clash, as Paris Saint-Germain host PSV Eindhoven at the Parc des Princes in the league phase.

Luis Enrique's men are out to atone for their 2-0 defeat to Arsenal on matchday two, while the Eredivisie champions accepted a point in a 1-1 draw against Sporting Lisbon.

We say: Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 PSV Eindhoven

No player has recovered possession more times than Schouten (23) in the current UCL campaign, and with both the 27-year-old and Veerman missing, PSV are at risk of being overrun in midfield.

The visitors' struggles away from home in Europe are also well-documented, so we can only envisage PSG comfortably getting back on track in the Champions League.

Sturm Graz vs. Sporting Lisbon (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Sturm Graz and Sporting Lisbon renew acquaintances when they meet in Klagenfurt in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The two were drawn together in the groups of the Europa League last season, with Sporting winning 2-1 when Sturm were allowed to play at their home venue in Graz.

We say: Sturm Graz 0-2 Sporting Lisbon

Despite their poor record in Austria, Sporting did end that barren run by winning away to Sturm last season, and even though they are weakened by injuries, the visitors will enter as strong favourites.

With two defeats from two so far, Sturm's European campaign has not got going at all, and despite some fine wins domestically recently, this will be a much sterner test against an unbeaten Sporting.

Arsenal vs. Shakhtar (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

Having seen their Premier League unbeaten run come to a painful end, Arsenal hope to avoid suffering the same fate in the Champions League at home to Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday night.

The Gunners have taken four points from their opening two matches in this year's new-look edition, while their Ukrainian counterparts currently sit outside the coveted top 24 places in the league phase table.

We say: Arsenal 3-0 Shakhtar Donetsk

A sight for sore Arsenal eyes, Shakhtar Donetsk have had both the fewest shots overall (10) and efforts on target (one) in the current Champions League season, and Pusic's men will surely be found wanting in the final third again.

A Gunners XI without Saka or Odegaard is one missing significant ingenuity, but even a rotated Arsenal side should have no problems sweeping aside Shakhtar, as long as their own indiscipline does not let them down again.

Real Madrid vs. Dortmund (Tuesday, 8.00pm)

A rematch of the 2023-24 Champions League final, holders Real Madrid and hopefuls Borussia Dortmund renew hostilities in Tuesday's league phase encounter at the Bernabeu.

It has been almost five months since Carlo Ancelotti's men broke BVB hearts to win European Cup number 15, as the German giants were left to lament missed chance after missed chance at Wembley.

We say: Real Madrid 1-0 Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund learned a harsh lesson about what happens if you do not take your chances against Real Madrid, and they have more than made up for those deficiencies in the Champions League so far this term, even if Club Brugge and Celtic do not quite stack up to Los Blancos' mastery.

However, Sahin's men have been too inconsistent and frail at the back for us to believe that the outcome of Tuesday's game will be any different, and BVB's 100% UCL record should come to a swift end at the Bernabeu, even if there is just one goal in it.
