Steve Bould has declared that he is delighted with Arsenal's win in their opening match of this season's Champions League.
Bould took charge of the Gunners in the absence of Arsene Wenger, who began a three-match European touchline ban.
Arsenal came from behind to beat Montpellier 2-1, thanks to goals from Lukas Podolski and Gervinho.
Bould told the club's official website: "It's fabulous to get an early away win, we've got great team spirit and I think that was evident tonight. Everybody is digging in and things are looking OK.
"I am really pleased. It was difficult. I thought we were excellent in the first half, we kept the ball and kept the crowd quiet.
"We looked a little bit tired in the second half. It was tough. It is quite an intimidating place to come and play so we're glad to get the result."
Arsenal face a trip to reigning Premier League champions Manchester City in their next match on Sunday, September 23.
